HELPING HANDS
Helping Hands volunteers meet every Wednesday morning in the teacher work room to make copies/laminate/cut projects for each grade level. This work helps our teachers tremendously. As Ms. Whitaker put it, "This incredible group is truly a lifeline for our school... Helping Hands is not just a convenience--it's an invaluable resource that directly impacts the quality of education your children receive."
So, please consider volunteering with Helping Hands this year--or next year! Many of the current volunteers are fifth grade parents. Volunteers can come in every Wednesday or on the Wednesdays they are available. Veteran helpers will show you how to use the machines, so no experience is necessary! Please contact Laura Michaud to find out more.
(And a huge THANK YOU to Laura Michaud for leading these efforts for the past few years!)
LUCKY'S LIBRARY
Lucky's Library (a magical place!) is visited by scholars who have read certain total minutes at home and can select a book to keep as a reward for reading. It is typically open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 7:30-8:00am and is staffed by parent volunteers. Please check out the available dates to volunteer, as we'd love to get coverage through December! It's the perfect volunteer opportunity to knock out before work or an otherwise busy day!
MORE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved and support SGE. Visit our website to learn more about Heart Math Tutoring, Thursday folders, Lucky Dads, and more! (A signup for the Book Fair - sponsored by Khali Yoga - in December was just added!) Remember to register at cmsvolunteers.com so you're set for the school year.
